More to do....
I first ran for Council because I wanted to make a positive difference, and that commitment is stronger today than ever. I am seeking re-election because I believe there is still important work to do, and I remain committed to providing thoughtful, practical leadership that listens to residents and delivers results. When I first ran for Council, one of my priorities was advocating for more long-term care beds in West Vancouver. I was incredibly pleased to see the Inglewood Care Centre receive unanimous approval, and I am proud of what can be achieved when we work collaboratively with our community partners and focus on the needs of residents.
My background as a professional mediator has shaped my approach to public service. I believe in bringing people together, understanding different perspectives, and finding practical solutions rather than focusing on division. Those skills have served me well at the Council table and will continue to be important as West Vancouver faces decisions around infrastructure, housing, transportation, health care, and our long-term financial future.
Looking ahead, I believe we must continue advocating for health care services closer to home. Building on the progress made with the Inglewood Care Centre, I want to continue working with Vancouver Coastal Health and the Province to advance the need for an urgent care centre in West Vancouver so residents can access timely medical services when they need them.
I am running for another term because I want to continue building on the progress we've made while ensuring residents remain at the centre of every decision. My commitment is simple: to listen, to lead with integrity, protect taxpayers, and work every day to preserve what makes West Vancouver such an exceptional place to live.
